I have a customer that is trying to send out multiple e-mails with Microsoft Word 2010. He has an Excel spreadsheet with names and e-mail addresses and Outlook that connects to his Exchange Server. He can do the merge and send out text e-mails, but he can't send out HTML messages. He needs to send them out in HTML format because the formatting looks awful in text format. I have researched and found that there was a Microsoft patch for this problem and he tried to install it but it will not install, it says that he doesn't need it. He has Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit and Microsoft Office Pro plus 2010. I have tried it with my Windows XP and Office 2003 and it works perfectly. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Thanks Arie, but the opposite is happening here. My customer can't send out HTML merged e-mails, plain text ones only.

Yes, I know what the article says, but your (client's) scenario has also reported of being fixed by this update.

    Arie,

I had him try to install the patch again and he re-downloaded it and when he tried to install, it said said the this patch wasn't for his computer.

    Arie,

My customer went to the link that you supplied and and got to a point to where they said that he couldn't get support from Microsoft. I suggested that he get his company to update his Microsoft Office from the 2010 version to the new 2013 and maybe it would work better with his Windows 7.
