When I am starting WindowsXP Pro I get the small window which says:
Log on to windows - User name and password...

Is there a way to delete this so I do not have to see this every time I am starting or restarting windows? Thanks

You can use Tweakui for WinXP.

    1) Expand the Logon section
    2) Click on "Autologon
    3) Place a check mark on "Logon automatically at system startup "
    4) Enter your username and password if your using a password

Annoyances.org mentions this solution plus anothers.

Thanks to both of you. I used PeteC's method since it looked faster.

When I went to change password I saw this:

    Administrator - Administrator
    ASPNET - users
    Guest - Guests
MAI (my name) - Debugger Users; Administrators

1 - Should I delete some of these and, if so, how?

2 - How do I change to: MAI = Admin. This is my notebook and I am only persin who uses it. Thanks for your time and responses.

Leave them alone. The computer OS knows Mai is an administrator. The Administrator account is default and you need that one. Don't get rid of any of them.

Thanks for your response. Is it possible to delete this debugger??, whatever that means, and use my name as the only only admin?? I remember now that, I was told couple times, when I was installing something, that I have to log as admin. At that time I thought it as strange since I was admin.

Administrators can debug by default. I don't know why it showed up in your profile. Maybe some software you were using.
In local security policy it shows up in "user rights assignment" in XP Pro. Does it have a separate profile in Documents and Settings?
Someone else should probably answer that. I would leave it alone.

Debugger - one who gets the bugs out of code :D

XP has an Admin account and a user account with Admin rights by default. You can't change that - follow Maggie's advice and leave well alone.

    admin

in xp pro u can delete other user accounts and rename your administrator name.
goto (administrator tools-local sucurity)- but u must have 2 accounts on your system (1) administrator, which you can change the name, (2)your user account, all others u may delete. :)

I dunno about deleting all the others. The Guest account should probably stay. Fine to disable it but I'd suggest leaving it there.

ASPNET - users.........result of accepting the NET framework updates from Windows Update. Don't remove unless you remove the updates.
